Harry Kane saved England at the last minute for losing points against Tunisia. The captain headed The Three Lions to the 2-1 victory just before time.

Knowing that competitor Belgium had won Panama 3-0 earlier in the evening, England started stormy in the game in Volgograd.Within three minutes, Gareth Southgate’s team could have scored twice. Fighting defensively on the Tunisian side gave Jesse Lingard a chance, but the attacking midfielder struck the outstretched leg of goalkeeper Mouez Hassen.

Also the next corner gave a life-size opportunity for the English,

but defender Harry Maguire also saw his header turned by Hassen. The Tunisian goalkeeper saved after ten minutes with a feline save on a header by John Stones, but Kane stood ready to shoot the rebound. Hassen, who made such an impression in the opening phase, had to leave the field a few minutes later with a painful shoulder. A loss for Tunisia, while the tears ran down his cheeks.
