China donates medical equipment to Rwanda as COVID-19 cases reach 191

Rwanda’s Ministry of Health Sunday received an assortment of medical equipment from the Chinese government to support the country’s COVID-19 response efforts.

The ministry Sunday evening reported eight new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 191.

There are 92 recoveries. The new cases were got from 1,025 tests done in the past 24 hours.

The medical equipment was handed over by the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Rao Hongwei to the Minister of Health Dr Daniel Ngamije.

The donation comprises 500 pieces of infrared thermometers, 10,000 pieces of surgical masks, 2000 protective face masks for medical use, 2000 pieces of gowns, and 10,000 pairs of medical isolation shoe cover.
